Spring Cleaning Your Parenting Goals

Let’s be real, January 1st is cute and all, but the real ones know the new year starts in the spring.

There’s something about the hearing the birds chirp, the sun shining longer, and the warm breeze that feels like it’s time to reset. The way I see it, spring is the universe’s way of saying, ‘Alright, wake up and let’s try this again.’  The recent planetary alignment reminded us that you are purpose filled- especially when it comes to parenting.

Spring into New Parenting Goals

We start the Gregorian calendar year in the middle of winter, when everything feels slow and dark. But spring? Spring is when life wakes up. And as parents, it’s easy to lose track of the vision we set back in January. But this is our chance to pause, reflect, and ask: Am I parenting with intention? Am I showing up for my kids in the way I want?

Three Ways to Reset Your Parenting Goals This Spring

1. Declutter Your Expectations

We put so much pressure on ourselves to be all the things. But let’s be honest, sometimes we’re running on fumes. Take a moment to reflect. What can I let go of?

Like my home girl Elsa, letting go could be freezing the expectations of others and letting go of guilt. You don’t make a home-cooked meal every night? So what! Your parenting journey doesn’t look like others? It shouldn’t. We are individuals. It’s what makes us unique.

Sowing Seeds of New Intentions

Spring is about planting—literally and spiritually. What seeds do you want to sow in your parenting this year?

• Be more patient?

• Quality time without distractions?

• Financial literacy?

The same way flowers don’t bloom overnight, change won’t happen instantly.

A Family Vision

As a kid, we go for drives or walks and talk about our dreams and goals.

This activity is simple and free. A great way to connect with your family while embracing the energy of renewal.

Final Thoughts: Give Yourself Grace

Spring cleaning your goals isn’t about perfection—it’s about alignment. Just like the earth finds its balance with the seasons, we can do the same in our parenting. Take a deep breath, let go of what’s not serving you, and step into this new season with intention.
